Overview:
* Part-Time (19 hours/2.5 days per week), Fixed Term until July 2024 with possibility of extension.
* Salary Teacher Level 2.2 - 5 ($84,238 – $109,043) + 12% Superannuation and Flexible Working Arrangements (salary loading as necessary)
* Based at the City campus primarily teaching students within the Advanced Diploma of Engineering (Aeronautical)
About You
As a Vocational Education teacher (Aeronautical), you will be mainly responsible for the delivery of course material, assessing students and the supervision of students enrolled into the Advanced Diploma of Engineering (Aeronautical) courses (such as engineering activities, mathematical techniques, quality standards, computer aided design, testing aeronautical engineering materials and scientific principles). Participation in the Future Technologies cluster continuing reviews of course content and development, delivery, teaching methods (blended learning) and methods of students’ assessment will also form part of this role. You will interact with RMIT teaching and administration staff. Your performance will be underpinned by participation in relevant activities which ensure your vocational competence meets and/or exceeds the education level being delivered and assessed.
To be successful in this position, you’ll have as a minimum:
* Demonstrated skills and experience in competency-based assessment revolving around aeronautical engineering
* Demonstrated ability in ensuring current and contemporary vocational competence which meets and/or exceeds the education level being delivered and assessed.
* Ideally some experience in a relevant industry (Aeronautical Engineering), and substantial discipline knowledge as it relates to this position.
* Demonstrated capacity to diagnose learning problems in students, propose and implement effective solutions.
* Demonstrated ability to contribute effectively as a constructive and proactive member of a team.
* Demonstrated skills in the use of relevant information and communication technologies to be able to interact with RMIT’s learning management system (Canvas) and associated tools.
Mandatory Qualifications
* Must hold the TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
