The position forms part of RideauxLab and will involve conducting experimental research on active perception, with a particular interest in the influence of walking on perception.The successful candidate will use electroencephalography, virtual reality, and AI to study how perception changes during walking. Research outcomes from the project are expected to advance understanding of active perception, in addition to potential industry and clinical applications.Your key responsibilities will be:Design and conduct experimental research on active perception, particularly the influence of walking on perception.Apply and manage relevant ethics approvals.Manage data handling and analysis.Draft and edit manuscripts for publication.Supervise and support junior staff and students.Contribute to the day-to-day running of the laboratory.About youThe University values courage and creativity; openness and engagement; inclusion and diversity; and respect and integrity.
