About the Role
CareSouth is committed to responding to community and sectorneeds. To best support those we work with and build our staffsknowledge and development, CareSouth is seeking an experiencedPractice Specialist to join the Practice Improvement and Qualityteam in a full time, 1 year fixed term capacity (maternity leaverelief). The role can be based out of our Wagga Wagga, Deniliquinor Griffith office. We are looking for someone who is innovative,bold and create and wants to share their practice passion withothers.
This exciting role will be responsible for contributing to thedesign, delivery, and implementation of practice development acrossCareSouth. Individuals with Disability practitioner experience willbe considered highly desirable. This role will be extremelyflexible and creative with no two days being the same.
A typical day in this role could include:
1. Writing and / or delivering expert practice content
2. Coaching / mentoring / modelling
3. Complex case review and reporting
4. Practice plan development and implementation
5. Ensure practitioners are skilled in delivering service that is in line with relevant legislation and standards
The successful applicant will have:
6. Degree in Social Work, Psychology or relevant field.
7. Demonstrated experience (at least 3 years) working in disabilities, early intervention and prevention/child protection, Out of Home Care or child and family-based services contexts.
8. Exceptional interpersonal, facilitation and conflict resolution skills.
9. Outgoing and engaging personality and the ability to attract buy in from diverse audiences internally and externally.
10. Experience in coaching practitioners in a child and family context. Ability to work autonomously and as a part of a high performing team.
11. Demonstrated experience in reviewing practice and / or auditing and the ability to provide kind and specific feedback that inspires improved practice
12. Proven ability to develop resources and facilitate workshops.
13. Experience in identifying practice gaps and designing and implementing practice uplift strategies
14. Experience in coaching and influencing without having, or using, decision making delegation
15. Proven experience using client information systems, data systems and technology and proven ability to learn new programs and technology
16. Current driver’s license.
17. Willingness to undertake travel between CareSouth offices on a regular basis.

19. Willing to undergo a National Police Clearance and obtain a (NSW) Working with Children Check clearance number and/or (ACT) Working with Vulnerable People Card.
