Banking & Finance Treasury and/or Risk Specialist Melbourne Permanent / Full Time Highly responsible role Dynamic and collaborative working environment Work closely with an exceptional CRO Our client, a leading non-bank lender is looking to bring on an experienced Risk Portfolio Manager into their Risk team. Reporting to their CRO, this role has a broad and diverse mandate and will suit someone with a well rounded credit and risk background. The Role The Portfolio Risk Manager will influence risk decision making through provision of insights, preparation of risk dashboards and modelling for the Risk Function, regarding trend analysis and performance of the business. These reports in varying formats will be used to fulfil reporting requirements to External Regulators, Auditors, the Board, Risk & Compliance Committee, Managing Director, Chief Risk Officer and the Chief Financial Officer. You will be able to work closely with their internal Technology team to build the reporting infrastructure and reports. Key Responsibilities Provide insights that drive credit decisions through use of complex data sources Conducts the extraction, collation, manipulation and presentation of data insights Analyses results and writes reports and dashboards geared to business requests Develop and deploy risk predictive modelling, analysing data to drive PD and LGD inputs to loss provisioning model Analysis of loan portfolio performance with a focus on arrears and loss data and ability to stress test scenarios Review Market Industry research and benchmarking and compare to internal organisation performance. Understand business impact of data and influence data use within business Ensure risk reporting is aligned to and supports enterprise key risks, and risk appetite statements Ensure enterprise risk reporting is benchmarked (where possible) against internal and external benchmarks Establish productive relationships with peers, internal customers & supplier representatives Self-starter who plans their own work & assists senior staff in organising & completing their work Makes spot checks according to policy/procedures Innovate and solve complex problems that drive better risk management practices/decisions Experience Required: 3-5 years of relevant business reporting experience in the financial services industry/risk and compliance experience Degree qualified in a relevant Finance, Risk or IT field Ability to build and produce a dashboard in SharePoint or a similar system Advanced Excel skills Some experience and awareness of coding preferred or as a minimum the ability to collaborate with a Data Analyst to build reporting and act as a translator between technical and non-technical stakeholders
