Performs various housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a safe, clean environment. BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.Experience Requirements : Minimum of two (2) years hospital experience in the last 5 years preferred. Graduate of a medical assistant program or secretarial program preferred. Student nurses will be eligible without certification after completion of the medical / surgical clinical rotation (must provide certification of completion). Experience requirements may be based on the discretion of the unit director.Working Conditions : Exposure Category I : Tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues. All procedures or other job-related tasks that involve an inherent potential for mucous membrane or skin contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues, or a potential for spills or splashes of them, care Category I tasks. Use of appropriate protective measures is required for every employee engaged in Category I tasks.
