About the Role As the Finance Manager, you will be at the helm of the organisation's financial operations, providing high-level strategic and operational support. Your responsibilities will include preparing financial reports for the Board, Executive, and Senior Management, while overseeing and managing a dedicated finance team to ensure optimal performance. Key Responsibilities: Lead all financial group reporting and forecasting tasks, including Statutory Accounts, Year-End Accounts, Management Accounts, Board/Committee Reports, Budgets, Re-forecasts, and Cash flows. Ensure compliance with applicable Accounting Standards and regulatory requirements. Manage reporting obligations such as grant returns, government acquittals, and financier compliance reporting. Oversee financial processing functions, including payments, payroll, receipting, banking, fixed assets allocation, and expense recharges. Facilitate the internal and external audit process, serving as the key point of contact for auditors. Supervise taxation matters, including BAS, GST, and FBT compliance. Maintain the integrity of the finance system, financial controls, and alignment with operational systems. Develop project feasibility and financial models to support organisational decision-making. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying efficiency's in both revenue generation and cost management. Leadership Responsibilities: Build and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and problem-solving. Role model organisational values and cultivate a culture of safety and well-being. Contribute to strategic and operational planning, ensuring alignment with organisational goals. Skills and Experience Required: Proven experience as a Finance Manager or similar role, ideally within a not-for-profit organisation. Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, compliance, and audit processes. Strong knowledge of taxation matters including BAS, GST, and FBT. Proficiency with financial systems, policy development, and strategic planning. Leadership experience with the ability to build teams and inspire performance.
