We are currently looking for an experienced Alcohol and Other Drugs Family Counsellor to join our geographically diverse team in North Queensland region.
This is a part-time position, working 3 days per week, based at our Townsville office and providing outreach to surrounding regions within the Hospital and Health Service, delivering Community Information sessions and individual counselling to any loved one's whom are impacted by other's substance use.
What we are looking for With an established career in AOD or Mental Health, you will be confident and capable with all aspects of group facilitation, case management, and clinical counselling, offering the following skills and attributes: Experience working with a broad range clients aged 12 and up A background in the development of individual treatment plans and facilitation of group work Robust understanding of cultural awareness and safety with the capacity to support people from diverse backgrounds Being a team player is important, but you will also need to be comfortable working independently Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal Confidence to contribute to case conferences and team discussions with an eagerness for ongoing change and improvements Able to produce accurate, relevant reports and case-notes while complying with all legislative requirements You will need to have a degree in the field of Human Services, or equivalent experience, hold a current Australian Drivers Licence, and a National Police Check.Based on experience and qualifications, this position will be SCHADS level 4-5.
The hourly rate for this role is between $43.08 - $51.51 plus Super and Salary Packaging of up to $15,900 annually.
