You will be Managing 5 Theatres plus 1 Cath Lab - all surgeries are covered except for Transplants, Neuro and Cardiac.

This is a key managerial role with the primary responsibility to lead and manage the Operating and Angiography Suite. Focused on ensuring best practice outcomes for key stakeholders, patients, doctors, caregivers, and the wider hospital group. This position will suit candidates with a desire to further their leadership journey whilst maintaining core clinical expertise.
Key responsibilities include:
· The leadership and operational management of Perioperative services, entails the management of all Nursing, administrative, and support staff within the Operating Suite including, Perioperative Scrub, Anaesthetic Nursing, and Recovery Room.
· The management of the Sterile Processing Centre and Prostheses within the Operating Suite.
· The utilisation of resources to ensure effective and efficient management of the operating suite, in line with best practice and relevant police and guidelines, while ensuring that the patients receive appropriate access to elective and emergency surgery in an environment that is safe for staff and patients. delivery of high-quality, safe perioperative services
· Ensuring the service operates within a robust set of financial and operational performance targets, delivering on relevant KPIs` set for the service
· Directly managing all Nurse Unit Managers, Nurse Educators, and Clinical Nurse Consultants in Perioperative services.
About You:
Reporting directly to the Deputy Director of Nursing, this role is assisted by a highly experienced Unit Coordinator. You will have overall responsibility for the management of 5 Theatres, the Cath Lab, and the DOSA unit.
You will need to demonstrate previous management experience within Perioperative Services together with strong organisational, self-management, and conflict-resolution skills. Our ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical knowledge, and strong interpersonal and communication skills, together with a desire to lead and support others to deliver superior patient care and services.
In addition, candidates will need to demonstrate:
· Exceptional, relevant clinical knowledge and management expertise - minimum of 3 years' experience in a Perioperative Suite
· Strong organisation and prioritisation skills
· The ability to motivate and lead others
· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a range of internal and external stakeholders
· Current registration with AHPRA
· A commitment to delivering best-practice person-centered care
