Woogaroo Creek State School are recruiting for a Permanent Full-time Schools Officer to join our Facility Team.
You will perform a range of activities to ensure that the school is maintained to a high standard; follow set instructions; and have independence to perform a variety of day-to-day services that are routine in nature. However, the role receives regular supervision when undertaking duties that are non-routine in nature.
As the Schools Officer, Grounds and Facilities you will not be required to perform any task or repairs that would normally require the services of a qualified tradesperson.

About The Role
This is a OO2 progression position as per the Role Description. The successful applicant will be appointed to the OO2 classification with eligibility for progression to the OO3 level once specific criteria have been met. Please note salary rate shown is reflective of OO2 to OO3 classification range.
Roles and Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Lawn management (Mowing, brush cutting, spraying, fertilising);
* Garden management (Spraying, weeding, mulching, fertilising, planting new plants);
* Facility management (Facilities tasks, identifying risks/hazards, maintaining facilities, preparing areas of our school for events);
* Rubbish management (Liaising with Ipswich City Council to ensure we have ample bin services);
* Liaising with internal and external stakeholders (Teachers, Contractors, Hirers etc);
* Identifying WHS risks.

* You will collaborate with our Facility Team to ensure our grounds and facilities are maintained to a high standard to allow our students to REACH each day.
