About The Position
Terra Mining are currently seeking an experienced Senior Shotfirer for their Binduli project in the Kalgoorlie region, Western Australia. Working as part of our diverse, dynamic, and driven drill and blast team, you will lead your team of shotfirers to safely execute the use of explosives in accordance with procedural and site requirements, together with providing guidance and coaching to the Blast Crew.
Working a 2&2 dayshift roster, the Senior Shotfirer's day-to-day responsibilities will include but are not limited to being:
Ensuring all blasting practices are in line with industry regulations and client requirements. Maintaining explosive magazines and compounds, and ensuring enough stock is on hand. Ensure all documentation and reports are completed accurately and on time. Providing crews with leadership and support to ensure the team is performing at their best. Identify and resolve any technical or operational issues that may arise during blasting activities. What You Will Bring
Minimum of five years' experience as a Shotfirer on open pit, hard rock mining projects. Proven experience leading a team of Shotfirers and Blast Crews at open cut mining operations. A current WA Shotfirers Licence and WA Dangerous Goods Security Card (DGSC). A positive attitude to safety and teamwork. High level of communication, organisational and planning skills Basic level of computer literacy including knowledge of Shotplus. Current C Class drivers' licence (HR licence preferred, but not essential) Be able to pass a Pre-Employment Medical including drug and alcohol testing Must have the right to work in Australia Current National Police Clearance, issued within the last twelve months What We Offer
