As a COOK at our North Caloundra center, you'll be responsible for preparing delicious and nutritious meals that fuel the growth and development of our young learners. With a focus on creating a warm and inviting atmosphere, you'll play a vital role in fostering a positive dining experience for both children and staff.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and executing daily menus that cater to various dietary needs and preferences
- Ensuring strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards
- Managing inventory and ordering supplies efficiently
- Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Collaborating with the center's team to promote healthy eating habits
To thrive in this role, you'll need:
- Proven experience in a commercial kitchen or childcare setting
- Knowledge of child nutrition and age-appropriate meal preparation
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- A genuine passion for working with children and contributing to their well-being
- The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Current food safety and handling certifications (or willingness to obtain)
