Your primary responsibility will be the provision of strategic support for building organisational capability to deliver operational performance across the Liberty Primary Steel business.
You will assist with the provision of governance over the development and implementation of training programs, training and assessment materials and methodology to ensure the operational readiness of the Production and Maintenance workforce.
This is a fixed term contract to cover Parental Leave.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Implementation of the training governance framework within the business units to deliver people capability
2. Support the business units through the facilitation of training needs analysis and operational process mapping
3. Ensure alignment and compliance to relevant operational, safety and legislative requirements
4. Provide engagement, operational advice and coaching to relevant stakeholders on licencing, training and assessment standards, development of training plans and execution of training
5. Monitor and review training requirements and existing training gaps with Business Leaders
6. Management of position, competencies, qualifications and training records with the Learning Management System
7. Conduct audits and contribute to workforce development related projects.
8. Contribute towards continuous improvement within the Workforce Development function
You are an enthusiastic, motivated, and highly organised individual, with relevant experience in a similar role within mining, metalliferous processing, manufacturing, or heavy industry sector. You enjoy working in a dynamic collaborative environment and are comfortable engaging with a variety of stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
9. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent (essential)
10. Experience in the facilitation and development of training modules and assessment tools
11. High level planning and scheduling skills
12. Intermediate MS Office suite skills
13. Strong written and verbal communication skills
14. Understanding of Enterprise RTOs, training methodologies and blended learning
15. Understanding and experience in learning management systems including e-learning
16. Ability to influence, engage and lead
