We are looking for an Auditor (Insurer Performance) to join our team and play a key role in monitoring and enhancing regulatory compliance within Queensland's workers' compensation scheme.
About The RoleAs an Auditor (Insurer Performance), you will be responsible for implementing the performance monitoring and licensing program.
Working autonomously, you will collaborate with self-insured employers and WorkCover Queensland to ensure legislative and licensing obligations are met.
Your role will involve conducting compliance audits, monitoring insurer performance, and supporting business improvement initiatives to enhance self-insurance frameworks and compliance systems.
Your expertise will contribute to maintaining a fair and effective regulatory environment for all stakeholders.
Key ResponsibilitiesRegulatory Audits & Compliance: Implement the regulatory audit program and conduct compliance monitoring activities to ensure insurers meet their legislative and licensing obligations.Data Analysis & Reporting: Monitor insurer performance using statistical data, actuarial reports, and claims/rehabilitation system reviews, providing insights to senior management.Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including injured workers, insurers, and service providers, to address complaints and ensure compliance.Legislative Application: Apply legislation, policies, and procedures to deliver compliance monitoring services that align with regulatory objectives.Business Improvement: Contribute to the evaluation and enhancement of operational policies, procedures, and compliance strategies.Project & Resource Management: Participate in projects related to self-insurance and regulatory improvements within budgetary and operational constraints.Team Collaboration & Culture: Promote a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and ethical conduct in accordance with OIR values.Records & Documentation: Accurately maintain insurer files and central databases, ensuring compliance with documentation standards.What We're Looking ForWe're seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional with experience in compliance auditing, workers' compensation regulation, or insurance performance monitoring.
