Senior Advisor, Stakeholder Engagement required on a part time basis (2 days per week) to join a dedicated Communications team operating within a state regulatory authority. This role will be dedicated to enhancing stakeholder engagement and developing effective communication strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement communication materials that cater to the needs of the organisation and its stakeholders through multi-channel strategies
Lead communication plans in collaboration with media, social media, and customer marketing for major projects
Create and execute targeted stakeholder engagement and feedback activities to enhance the integrity of the organization and strengthen community ties
Engage with external stakeholders, such as local communities, non-government organisations, businesses, and government agencies, to inform strategic decisions related to programs and services
Proactively identify and report emerging issues, providing strategic advice to the Manager on internal and external communication matters
Develop and deliver processes and guidance materials to promote effective engagement techniques in line with industry best practices
Support and provide advisory services to align with government and organizational priorities
Desired Qualifications:
Strong experience in stakeholder engagement at a communication level, ideally with a government background in regulatory settings.
Familiarity with engagement guidelines and practices, particularly in the context of local government
Proven experience in stakeholder communication resource development and content creation, including news stories and reports
Technical Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office; ability to create PowerPoint presentations quickly
Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and Squiz Matrix is highly regarded
Basic design process knowledge is advantageous
