About the RoleAs the Workshop Supervisor, you will oversee daily operations, ensuring that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to high-quality standards.
This role is ideal for a proactive leader who excels in a fast-paced environment and is committed to fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key ResponsibilitiesJob Management:Serve as the primary point of contact for workshop projects, collaborating with Project Managers to develop timelines and ensure project goals are met.Maintain accurate job documentation and report on workshop performance metrics.Documentation and Reporting:Develop comprehensive job packs, ensuring all documentation is current and reflects project changes.Communicate updates effectively to all stakeholders.Stakeholder Engagement:Foster strong relationships with internal and external clients through effective communication and coordination.Conduct daily toolbox meetings to discuss safety, project updates, and best practices.Resource Allocation:Delegate tasks based on team members' skills and availability, ensuring balanced workloads.Monitor material and tool stock levels, coordinating timely procurement to avoid project delays.Equipment Management:Implement a maintenance schedule for all workshop equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.Mentorship and Training:Guide and mentor a diverse team of welders, mechanical fitters, and apprentices, fostering a culture of continuous learning.Develop tailored training programs focused on technical skills and safety protocols.Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ):Promote a positive HSE and quality culture in the workplace.Participate in continuous improvement processes and ensure prompt reporting of safety incidents.Employee BenefitsPermanent full-time position with competitive salary.Local role with potential travel opportunities.Option for flexible work arrangement and early finish Fridays.Opportunities for career advancement and professional development.Experience / QualificationsProven experience in a supervisory role within a workshop or manufacturing environment.Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering, trade certification, or related field preferred.Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise tasks effectively.Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a workshop environment.Experience in mentoring and training apprentices is highly desirable.To applyTo apply for the role please click apply now and submit your resume and cover letter.
