The work of the Central Partnership Team also supports and is supported by the whole of Victorian Government regulatory reform program.About the roleThe Senior Policy and Projects Officer will support the work of the Central Partnership Team in delivering a program of significant multi-year regulatory reform initiative. In the role, you will be required to take the lead on policy, project management and stakeholder collaboration and deliver outcomes within strict timeframes. In this role, you will be accountable for:Preparing and providing strategic advice and complex reports, submissions, briefings and correspondence responses to senior and executive management and Ministers.Undertaking project management work including project governance, reporting, planning and the delivery of communication material about the project.Developing, maintaining and strengthening relationships with key stakeholders, senior department staff and peers, as well as collaborating with departments on reform.Communicating with, negotiating and influencing, internal and external stakeholders.Contributing to fostering a positive team culture and mentoring and supporting team members.About youWe are seeking applications from candidates with demonstrable experience in:Influence and stakeholder management:experience preparing high quality verbal and written briefings and advice; including the ability to convey complex issues persuasively and effectively in plain language;experience in building relationships to persuade and achieve results.Conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills:demonstrated capacity to solve complex and ambiguous problems, an eye for detail and ability to interpret and synthesise information, including using data to understand an issue.experience in using economic frameworks and principles, and/or experience in policy development and advice would be advantageous.Project management:experience in undertaking project management tasks and supporting managers to develop project plans, project reporting and assess delivery risk.Teamwork and collaboration:experience working within a team and supporting others to collaborate and support others to pursue common goals.experience collaborating with other departments on a common task would be advantageous.experience in providing timely and fit-for purpose advice and products for key stakeholders.Experience and qualificationsTertiary qualifications in Economics, Public Policy, Law or a related field are an advantage, but not essential.About our cultureWe aim to be a model employer providing an inclusive workplace that is understanding and respectful of differences such as gender, identity, race, disability or age.
