The Financial Controller will be joining our CloudWize team and play a key role in overseeing the financial health of the business, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing strategic financial guidance to support decision-making.
We are looking for a self-motivated, analytical and detail-orientated finance thought leader with strong business partnering and influencing skills. Sound decision making based on accurate and timely analysis is critical to the success of this role.
Your work as a Financial Controller:
This role is agile in nature, tasks will vary based on periods, clients, and other business requirements. The tasks include, but are not limited to:
1. Provide financial leadership and oversee all facets of finance
2. Ensure timely and accurate production of financial reports, data and P&L
3. Responsible for all months end close activities
4. Complete forecasts and annual budgets, including cash flow forecasting and management
5. Providing sound and strategic financial support and insights to make critical business decisions
6. Managing and overseeing all compliance activities including assurance and tax
7. Act as liaison with external accountants for specialist advice
8. Managing regional accounting stakeholder relationships and ensuring compliance with GAAP accounting standards.
9. Risk Management, including development of risk frameworks
10. Overseeing commercial decision-making from tender analysis, margin analysis, pricing analysis etc.
11. Advising and implementing best-practice methods to increase revenue and reduce costs
12. Implementing and maintaining a suite of relevant business performance metrics
13. Lead / assist organisation wide improvement initiatives (system migrations, improving processes and controls, compliance with accounting initiatives, metrics tracking)
14. Managing and tracking budget and financial performance
15. Reviewing all formal finance policies and procedures
The successful applicant will have the following attributes:
1. 7+ years of financial accounting experience
2. CA or equivalent
3. Exceptional interpersonal communication and leadership skills
