About the role:
As a shotfirer you will be responsible for:
1. Demonstrating behaviours that aligns with Cement Australia values
2. Complying with Zero Harm principles daily
3. Meeting daily operational targets
4. Performing all duties as directed by the Blast Supervisory Team
5. Operating machinery in a safe and efficient manner
6. Ensuring all associated equipment is maintained in a safe condition
7. Ensuring Drill & Blast patterns are kept to a high standard
8. Using techniques and procedures that improve performance and cost efficiencies
About you:
9. Hold a current Tasmanian Shotfirer licence
10. Responsible Worker card holder (or ability to obtain)
11. Strong communication skills and a track record of achieving results
12. Motivated, enthusiastic individual who shows initiative and can work with minimal supervision
13. Flexible, team-orientated approach with strong interpersonal skills
14. Ability to work to deadlines and remain effective under pressure
15. Current Australians Drivers licence
16. Mobile equipment operation in mining industry - desirable
