Dynaciv Pty LTD have secured a number of projects in the Cairns Region, and we are looking for a Manager who is skilled to lead a local office and local projects. The Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the office and projects including Safety and HR/IR issues from contract award through to final completion. The position requires a person with a strong performance ethic who is focused on achieving results through and with other team members and subordinates.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.The duties and responsibilities shall be accomplished personally or through other project team members as the case may be.Project Management: Direct, co-ordinate and exercise functional authority for all aspects of the project including but not limited to:Planning and programming the project and construction worksQuality, Workplace Health and SafetyTrainingSafety, Environmental and Quality managementHuman Resources (including selection of project staff as required), Industrial Relations, performance managementContract administration including progress claims, variations, extension of time claims, contract claims, processing of subcontract claims.Procurement of materials, plant, subcontract and other services.Management of subcontracts performanceManagement of design consultants on design and construct projectsClient / Principal relationsAuthorities liaison and approvalsRisk assessment and managementOffice Management: Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the office, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning within a fast-paced construction environment. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with excellent organisational and communication skills to manage administrative tasks, support project teams, and maintain a productive work environment.Preparation of monthly project reports to the Managing Director addressing time, costs, claims, contractual issues as well as a forecast final revenue, cost and margin reports.Weekly job progress and productivity indicator reports.Monitor actual costs against budget.Preparation and presentation of Post Project Reviews.Integrate with all relevant company department managers and staff to bring about the completion of projects. This shall include all company administration procedures.Contribute to the development and implementation of the company Strategic and Business Plan by carrying out tasks and duties as directed. These duties shall include amongst others, business development and marketing exercises.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThe Regional Manager shall have the responsibility for the direct supervision of the project team and Project Supervisor in accordance with company policies and procedures. The project team will generally consist of Project Engineer(s), Site Engineer(s), Quality Engineer(s) and Contract Administration personnel, as required, on a project-by-project basis.The Project Supervisor reports to the Project Manager (Regional Manager). The Project Supervisor, with the assistance of foremen and leading hands, is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of all field staff, subcontractors, plant (internal and external) etc.Responsibilities include interviewing, recommending applicants for employment, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. The Regional Manager shall be responsible for reporting on such matters to the Operations Manager and Managing Director.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
