Katherine West Health Board is seeking a dedicated Child Health Nurse to make a meaningful impact on remote Aboriginal communities.

Key Responsibilities
* Conduct health assessments and deliver targeted child health services in remote communities.
* Work closely with families to improve access to primary healthcare services.
* Educate clinicians and provide guidance on child health checks and immunisations.
* Build strong relationships with the community to encourage participation in healthcare services.
* Support children with high health needs and work in a trauma-informed manner.
* Conduct health education sessions in schools and community groups on various health topics.
* Participate in case conferences and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
* Assist in data collection and reporting for quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
* Be a Registered Nurse (RN) eligible for registration with AHPRA.
* Have experience in community outreach, health promotion, or remote area nursing.
* Understand Aboriginal health, social determinants of health, and trauma-informed care.
* Have strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with families and clinical teams.
* Be flexible and adaptable to respond to the evolving needs of the community.
* Hold a current NT Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card) and Criminal History Check (or ability to obtain).
* Have a manual NT Driver's Licence (or ability to obtain) and be willing to travel frequently.
