This is an exciting career opportunity for an Injury Management & Workers Compensation Specialist to join our team in Mascot!
You will be responsible for ensuring effective management of claims and workers compensation systems, as well as helping us further develop our injury management and rehabilitation systems, strategy and practices across REMONDIS Australia operations.

Key Responsibilities:
Review and reinforce relevant policies and procedures to adequately support effective injury management and rehabilitation of injured employees.
Further develop and implement REMONDIS Australia WC and Injury Management strategy to help achieve injury management objectives and targets.
Engage with stakeholders across the business on matters relating to injury management, claim management, workers compensation and rehabilitation.
Assist managers and RTW Coordinators with injury management, including the development and monitoring of return-to-work plans.
Coordinate RTW programs and provide professional and well-considered advice to RTW Coordinators and Management representatives regarding individual cases.
Play a lead role in all workers compensation cases including dispute management, legal liaison, common law exposure, rehabilitation management and action plans, cost containment and claimant/employee interaction and support.
Establish and manage strong working relationships with insurers, brokers and rehabilitation providers to ensure successful execution of REMONDIS Australia WC strategy.
Prepare and analyse WC trends and develop strategy to improve REMONDIS’ performance.
Monitor and report critical WC and Injury Management trends.
In conjunction with the Payroll Team, coordinate PIAWEs, Workers Compensation reimbursements and payments to injured employees.
Support REMONDIS Mental Health and wellness initiatives.
About you:
Previous experience developing and managing worker's compensation and injury management system ideally in an industrial setting.
Exposure to conventional and non-conventional worker's compensation schemes.
Hold tertiary qualification in physiotherapy, ergonomics, occupational rehabilitation, WHS, or relevant area.
Completed RTW accreditation.
Stakeholder management experience in developing relationships with employees, managers, doctors and other service providers.
Understanding of WC insurance principles on a national level.
Strong numerical, analytical and reporting abilities, coupled with effective communication, negotiation and influential skills.
