Salary package: $115,511– 123,519 per annum plus 17% superannuation

The Advanced Instrumentation and Technology Centre (AITC) is a national facility in Canberra and part of the Research School of Astronomy and Astrophysics. The Centre was established to support the development of the next generation of instruments for astronomy and space science.
The Position In accordance with the ANU – iLAuNCH project agreements, the Space Projects Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring the delivery of space projects standards, focusing on optical communication projects, ensuring compliance delivery and that all AITC project activities meet the necessary space standards and facilities required to fulfill contracted objectives and targets in close collaboration with stakeholders and customers/end users to efficiently deliver projects within the AITC Space Project program.
The Person We are looking for an experienced quality manager with significant experience establishing project standards, tools, templates, and maintaining them using consistent procedures and processes, in line with international standards, such as the European Cooperation for Space Standardisation (ECSS). Essential skills and experience include developing and implementing quality management principles, structures, and processes to meet strategic objectives using highly developed analytical, conceptual, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to write influential reports. Experience in the space technology development sector will be highly regarded.
