THE OPPORTUNITY
Reporting to the Head of Technology, this position of Manager, Data Office will work with the executive leadership team to provide strategic guidance as they look to modernise their enterprise data platform (Azure and Power BI Analytics). You should bring experience building data pipelines, developing reports and performance metrics from complex and disparate transactional systems. You will be proficient in leading high-performing teams, managing internal client relationships and prioritising work requests. Technical experience and understanding of advanced analytics enablement, data engineering/warehouse and reporting capabilities is essential to be successful in this role.
You will be critically important in the strategic direction, scaling, design, development, and operation of the Enterprise Data Platform and will lead a team of data engineers, working to understand data use cases in the business; then, design, build, and deploy scalable data products for internal and external stakeholders. This role will also focus on developing data strategy, architecture and governance frameworks, and policies to ensure they successfully manage compliance and legal and regulatory obligations. This role will work closely with technical support teams to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of PII data and a broad base of information assets.
YOUR BACKGROUND
You have a strong technical capability and knowledge across Azure Data technologies (Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL Database), Power BI, Power Automate, Relational Database, Data Warehouse and related technologies. Microsoft Fabric experience would be well regarded.
You’ll have experience developing data governance and architecture frameworks while contributing to an organisation’s overall IT strategic direction. Strong communication skills are required to manage multiple stakeholder groups and vendors. The ability to be a great collaborator will be important to work with senior management to achieve the organisation’s IT strategic goals.
