The Position
An exciting permanent opportunity for a Staff Specialist in Psychiatry to join a Western Sydney TAC, Access & PECC up to 1FTE.
The Psychiatrist occupies a key clinical leadership role in TAC and within the Service and supports care provision and continuity across TAC, PECC and Access. The Staff Specialist works closely with the NUM/Team Leader and interdisciplinary team to ensure timely assessment and review leading to disposition plans for consumers across the age span presenting to TAC, ED (including the Safe Assessment Unit), Access and other locations where necessary.

Essential Criteria
* Possess or be eligible for: registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA); Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZP) or equivalent as provided for in the Health Services Act 1997, current NSW driver’s licence.
* Demonstrated commitment to Continuing Professional Development and reflective practice.
* Demonstrated expertise and experience in providing effective, high quality mental health services in a psychiatry setting; demonstrated commitment to person-centred, recovery oriented, family inclusive, trauma informed and need adapted principles of care.
* Demonstrated ability to support and work in collaboratively interprofessional contexts that include lived-experience professionals; sound knowledge of psychiatry encompassing biological, psychological, social, cultural and spiritual domains. Expertise and experience relevant to the position.
* Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication ability including capacity to communicate clearly, inclusively and respectfully. Word processing skills necessary to complete expert documentation.
* Demonstrated skill and commitment to the teaching and supervision of medical staff, non-medical colleagues and students consistent with contemporary best practice; commitment to interprofessional learning.
The Package
* Salary range of $186,241 - $229,825 depending on level of experience.
* Managerial allowances of $24,225-$60,565
