Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) is seeking a skilled Project Manager (EL2) to lead the establishment of a digital first survey platform in the Data Sourcing Division.
The Data Sourcing Division is responsible for sourcing data to produce independent and reliable information on various social, environmental, and economic matters.
We aim to provide a seamless, digital first approach to data provision that meets the needs and expectations of our individual, household, business, and government providers.
This project will focus on delivering a new survey platform that is streamlined, not-bespoke, and easily integrated within the existing Data Sourcing and ABS environment.
The Project Manager has authority and responsibility on a day-by-day basis to deliver the required outcomes/deliverables associated with the project (schedule, benefits, scope).
Key Responsibilities:
* Accountability for the creation of strategies for the effective planning, monitoring, reporting, and delivery of projects.
* Provide business critical expert advice to senior leaders, agency executives, and external stakeholders.
* Apply high level and independent judgement, complex analysis, and interpretation to manage highly complex and/or sensitive issues and risks.
* Provide leadership and direction to project and enabling teams.
* Build and sustain mutually beneficial relationships, consult, and share information within the team and across the Program.

* Understand design, architecture, delivery methods, frameworks, and governance processes in a large enterprise.
