About the Role:
We are seeking Disability Support Workers to join the team on a casual basis in Lucas, Victoria. In this role, you will be providing 1:1 support both in the home and out in the community, enabling and empowering the people we support to live the life they choose.
We're looking for individuals who are happy to roll up their sleeves, get involved and encourage fun and well-being. You'll need to be comfortable participating in physical activities such as going for walks, swimming or engaging in other outdoor or community-based activities. Your willingness to engage and support individuals enjoy these moments will help to build confidence, develop new skills and embrace life to the fullest.

Responsibilities:
* Implement support plans based on supported person’s needs, preferences, and interests
* Help with all aspects of daily living from getting up in the morning to going to bed at night
* Aid people to get to their chosen activities like social events, work, and appointments
* Promote personal choice and control for the person
* Assist with personal care, hygiene and household duties such as cleaning, cooking, and washing
* Administer medication
Qualifications and Experience:
* Experience with complex behaviours
* Experience with psychosocial and neurological disabilities preferred
* A passion for enabling and working with people
* Desire for meaningful work and comfortable providing people with daily living support
* Willingness to learn new skills, undertake ongoing training
* Willingness to work as part of a team
You will also bring with you or be willing to obtain*:
* NDIS Worker screening Check
* Working with Children Check
* Unrestricted Australian Driver’s License
* Evidence of COVID-19 vaccination status, including booster
* Current First Aid Certificate with CPR
