The opportunity:
Our In-house Legal Team are currently seeking to recruit a Corporate Lawyer to the team based in our Rhodes Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal support and advice to the Frasers Property Australia business nationally and will be exposed to a wide range of legal matters throughout the property development lifecycle as well as general corporate matters.
As the successful applicant, some of your responsibilities include:
8. Assisting with acquisitions, joint ventures, and disposals
9. Negotiating confidentiality and exclusivity agreements, term sheets and letters of offer
10. Reviewing and negotiating construction, consultancy, supply and property management agreements
11. Advising on marketing issues and review marketing materials
12. Reviewing sales contracts and managing external conveyancers
13. Reviewing commercial and retail leases and AFLs
14. Liaising with internal and external advisor around taxation, FIRB, insurance and other regulatory matters
15. Assisting with post-completion issues and disputes
16. Managing internal approval processes and precedents
17. Providing legal knowledge updates, training and research assistance.
18. Briefing external legal advisors
You may have all or some of the following skills / experiences:
19. A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a current practising certificate
20. A minimum of 7 years PQE in Property Development and Real Estate law obtained in mid to top tier law firm or in-house environment
21. Experience with construction and design contracts, consultancy agreements and litigation will be highly advantageous
22. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
23. Proactive, curious and a willingness to learn
