Front End Software DeveloperLocation: Weston Creek, ACTClearance: Baseline AGSVA Security Clearance requiredContact Term: Immediate start until 30 June 2025 + possible extensionPosition Status: Additional Resource required for projectAbout the Role:We are seeking an experienced Front End Software Developer to join our dynamic team and support the continued development of a modernised, web-based Learning and Development (L&D) Platform hosted within the Defence Azure environment.This role is an exciting opportunity to work alongside a skilled technical engineering team and contribute to the development and enhancement of the Sandbox Portal Framework.As a Level 2 Developer (L2 DLTE), you will lead front-end development, design user interfaces, and collaborate in agile sprint planning while ensuring the platform meets the project's objectives in terms of performance, scalability, and security.Your expertise in technologies such as HTML, CSS, Golang, REST APIs, and database integration will be key in driving the success of this project.Key Responsibilities: Lead Front-End Development: Design and improve the front-end architecture for the Sandbox Portal Framework.UX/UI Design: Create user-friendly and effective UX/UI features that align with project goals.Database Integration: Design and integrate database systems into the cloud environment to support application functionality.Optimisation: Ensure that both the Sandbox Portal and database systems are optimised for high performance, scalability, and security.Data Visualisation: Support the integration of data visualisation features within the Sandbox Portal Framework.Agile Collaboration: Actively participate in requirements gathering, agile sprint planning, and software demonstrations to support project delivery.Desired Experience and Technical Capabilities: Essential Technical Skills:Proficiency in HTML (including HTMX) and CSS (Tailwind or other templating systems).Strong experience with Golang, including its frameworks and best practices.Familiarity with REST APIs and GraphQL.Strong knowledge of SQL and database integration.Experience with SSO integration using KeyCloak or similar IDAM systems.Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines for hosting and configuring containerized software.Experience with Apache Superset or similar data visualisation tools.Additional Skills:Knowledge of security best practices and data compliance standards.Demonstrated experience in UI design and templating (e.g., using Templ or similar engines).A sound understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-based development environments.Project & Clearance Requirements:Experience working on Defence IT projects is highly desirable, with the ability to quickly reactivate an ODS account.Baseline AGSVA Security Clearance is required (or ability to obtain).Why Join Us?
