ACAD Level D the salary is $155,180 - $170,518 + up to 17% employer superannuation contributions.ABOUT THE DIVISION OF RESEARCHThe Research Division plays a pivotal role in the University by developing and implementing research strategy and policy, identifying and fostering research strength, delivering research services including grants, ethics and commercialisation, managing research infrastructure and promoting and coordinating collaboration with governments, industry, publicly funded research agencies and other universities.ABOUT FNQ CONNECTFNQ Connect was created in response to a groundswell of interest and concern from FNQ people with lived experience of disability, their families and communities, together with stakeholders responsible for supporting them. They expressed an urgent need for service reform: current supply of services is outweighed by needs and is well below national standards; inaccuracies in national data conceal these inequities.WHAT YOU CAN ACCOMPLISH IN THE ROLEThe Research Lead, FNQ Connect Monitoring and Evaluation Team, plays a vital role in FNQ Connect, a transformative initiative aimed at integrating and strengthening disability and rehabilitation services in Far North Queensland (FNQ). This position will oversee design and implementation of a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation framework to drive systemic change, track progress, and measure impact. The role will provide a senior researcher with the opportunity to lead impactful research across FNQ to achieve high-impact outcomes and deliver innovative solutions in an evolving, complex, multi-stakeholder environment.In this role you will also:Prepare a comprehensive plan for a shared data management system that prioritises connected care and support and enhances collaboration.Provide tailored evidence and high-level analyses to inform Cross-sector Leadership.Build capability in program planning, monitoring, and evaluation across FNQ Connect, through training programs, tools, and frameworks.Develop proposals and secure funding for projects that align with FNQ Connect priorities.Disseminate findings in a range of accessible formats for community meetings, stakeholder forums, peer-reviewed journals and at national and international conferences.WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLEPhD or equivalent experience in public health, evaluation, data systems, or a related field.Proven leadership in program planning, monitoring, and evaluation.Demonstrated expertise in designing shared data systems for collaborative use, with knowledge of data governance, security, and interoperability.Experience in preparing business cases to secure funding for large-scale initiatives.Strong track record in leading high-impact, cross-sectoral research initiatives, leading to high-quality reports, peer-reviewed publications, and conference presentations.Advanced analytical skills, including interpreting complex datasets, generating actionable evidence and presenting complex data clearly to non-specialist audiences.Demonstrated ability to foster respectful, effective, and culturally safe collaboration with diverse stakeholders, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.WHY JCU?JCU offers a culturally diverse working environment with opportunities for professional and personal growth.
