About the role
We are currently seeking Protection Officers for Rail Operations in Perth, Western Australia. This role offers great career prospects with a privately-owned tier 1 constructor and international engineering enterprise.
Key responsibilities
1. Work proactively and autonomously to ensure that all rail network safety standards and policies are met.
2. Instruct workers about safe places, protection arrangements, and safety measures.
3. Maintain all safe working systems and ensure network rules and procedures are correctly executed for safe operations within the rail corridor.
4. Communicate with signallers about protection arrangements.
About you
1. Previous experience in a similar role.
2. PTA qualifications required.
3. ARC Infrastructure qualifications desired.
4. Sound knowledge of track side safety standards.
5. Knowledge of operational procedures including train notices and isolation protection procedures.
6. Strong interpersonal, communication and people management skills.
7. Hold a valid Construction Induction (White Card) & Rail Industry Worker (RIW) Card.
8. Valid Drivers Licence Class ‘C’ or ‘HR’.
