This is an exciting opportunity for a Sales Development person to join our team on a full-time basis. You will be working towards the development of business strategies for IPD’s complete portfolio of solutions, including industrial automation, motors, motor control and LV power distribution products to End Users, EPC’s, Industrial Contractors, Utilities, System Integrators & OEM’s in Western Australia.
This role reports directly to the Regional Sales Manager and will be based at our Welshpool office.
Duties & responsibilities:
* Developing and implementing sales action plans in line with state strategy to achieve individual & team sales targets, gross margin and contribution targets.
* Promoting IPD’s full range of solutions to various stakeholders, including end users, EPCs, and contractors, while gaining familiarity with market and business channels.
* Maintaining high levels of technical and sales knowledge of IPD products and ensuring effective qualification and closing of customer opportunities using CRM tools.
* Collaborating with local and national teams for resource allocation and contribute positively to monthly sales and project pipeline meetings.
* Attending industry events for networking and market intelligence while ensuring all activities are conducted safely and professionally.
Experience & attributes:
* 5+ years sales experience within the Industrial Automation / Electrical sector
* Engineering capability and supporting qualifications within the Industrial Automation / Electrical sector highly desirable
* Self-motivated, proactive and sales focused.
* A collaborative team player
* A sound communicator, possessing strong written communication and presentation skills.
* A sales professional with a strong sales process
* Experienced in developing and executing sales strategies to build a strong sales pipeline.
* A consultative selling approach.
* A strong ability in value-based solution selling.
