Clinical Nurse Specialist – Infection ControlWollongong Private Hospital, WollongongPart Time (64 hours per fortnight)The OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Clinical Nurse Specialist with experience in Infection Prevention and Control to step into the role at Wollongong Private Hospital.Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, the successful applicant is responsible for innovating and setting the direction for the Infection Prevention and Control programs ensuring safety and quality procedures are adhered to by all patients and staff.Skills and ExperienceYou will have a strong commitment to customer service, display professional communication and interpersonal skills and passion for Infection Control.You will also demonstrate:Current AHPRA registration as Registered NursePrevious experience within Infection Control or an active desire to further enhance and develop Infection Control skills.Demonstrated high level critical thinking and problem-solving skills.The ability to successfully work as a team member and independently when required.Demonstrate ability to work as a motivated, enthusiastic, and positive role model for all clinical and non-clinical disciplines and services within the hospital environment.Excellent work ethic and time management skillsAccepts responsibility to implement and maintain Infection Control programs ensuring safety and quality within the facility, in conjunction with the Clinical Quality and Risk Manager.Support developmental growth of Link Nurses in Infection Control roles.Possess or obtain a Hand Hygiene Auditor Certificate.Excellent computer skills using the MS office suite of programs.Remuneration: On offer is a base hourly rate ranging from $53.56 + superannuation, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
