We offer higher education programs across all STEM disciplines at the Bachelor, Master and PhD levels.About the RoleAs theLecturer/Senior Lecturer, you will be expected to contribute to the teaching and research efforts of the School, particularly in the Pharmaceutical Sciences discipline. You are responsible for carrying out teaching activities within undergraduate and Honours degree programs and for maintaining and advancing your scholarly, research and/or professional capabilities. You will also promote the program by establishing and maintaining memberships, links and partnerships with academic, industry and professional communities.Additionally, theSenior Lecturerrole will involve:Course coordination and leading the design, development, and improvement of curriculum.Significant contribution to the delivery of programs and involvement in research, scholarship, and other professional activities.Developing high-quality, productivity-driven networks across RMIT and with internal and external partners.Responsibility for program management.About YouTo be successful for level B appointment, you will have:Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Sciences courses and programs, including online delivery, and the ability to produce high-quality curriculum or program materials.Demonstrated knowledge of Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Sciences, with specialist knowledge in one or more of the following areas: clinical research, ethics and governance, regulatory affairs.Demonstrated ability to undertake course coordination role.Demonstrated capacity to work effectively and negotiate sensitively with students, especially on issues related to effective learning.Emerging track record and recognition for quality research outputs contributing to existing Discipline and School research areas.Capacity to supervise higher degree by research candidates.Ability to build productive networks with colleagues and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills appropriate for interacting with students, staff, and industry, with a strong commitment to teamwork and multidisciplinary collaboration.In addition to the above, to be successful for level C appointment, you will have:Ability to coordinate large courses and implement innovative approaches to student-centred learning and quality improvement.Capacity to undertake academic leadership roles, including those related to program management and work-integrated learning/placements.Demonstrated ability to lead teams and projects to achieve outcomes in a timely manner.Emerging nationally recognized research track record including quality research outputs contributing to existing Discipline and School research areas.QualificationsMandatory for level B and C appointment:PhD or equivalent in a field relevant to Pharmaceutical Sciences.Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children Check and other checks as required by the specific role.
