A leading organisation in the waste management industry is seeking a dedicated and experienced Leachate Landfill Supervisor to join their team. This role is crucial in ensuring the safe and compliant management of liquid waste, including oils, grease-trap waste, acids, wash waters, hydrocarbon waste, solvents, and spray booth waste.
Your new role
As the Leachate Landfill Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the collection, treatment, and disposal of various types of liquid waste. You will ensure compliance with strict regulations, manage the storage and transportation of liquid waste, and operate licenced treatment facilities. Your expertise will contribute to environmental sustainability by promoting resource recovery and developing tailored solutions for waste disposal.
* Oversee the collection, treatment, and disposal of various types of liquid waste.
* Ensure compliance with strict regulations governing liquid waste disposal.
* Manage the storage of liquid waste in holding tanks, drums, intermediate bulk containers, or approved small containers.
* Coordinate with the waste fleet for the safe transportation of liquid waste.
* Operate licenced liquid waste treatment facilities in accordance with EPA guidelines.
* Conduct environmental testing and monitoring using state-of-the-art equipment.
* Provide tracking and documentation services to ensure regulatory compliance.
* Develop tailored solutions for liquid waste disposal to meet client needs.
* Promote resource recovery and identify cost-effective treatment solutions to divert liquid waste from landfills.
