About the Role
CareSouth are currently seeking Casual Supervised Contact Workers to join the CareSouth Bateman's Bay or Bega team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing high quality supervision for visits between children and/or young persons in care and their families.
* Ensuring the child's best interests are protected during contact.
* Facilitating safe and constructive contact visits comprising positive interactions between the parent/participant and child/children in order to build their relationship.
Requirements:
* Demonstrating a commitment to the safety of children, young people and people with a disability.
* Tertiary qualification or working towards in a relevant discipline (e.g. social welfare, psychology, education counselling etc.).
* Current First Aid Certificate.
* Excellent communication, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
* Excellent observational and report writing skills.
* Understanding of child protection and mandatory reporting requirements.
* Sound knowledge of child development.
* Ability to remain impartial at all times.
* Ability to risk assess varying situations.
* Current drivers licence, comprehensively insured vehicle, mobile phone and access to a computer.
