UGL Regional Linx are looking for a passionate & enthusiastic Logistics Coordinator to join our committed and inclusive team in Bathurst. Who Is UGL Regional Linx? Job Purpose Manage the Infrastructure Operational Logistics Function to deliver effective supply chain support and maintain effective resourcing to Infrastructure Operations and Maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities Implement and oversee supply chain and logistics operations systems within Infrastructure.Assist the logistics officer in implementing UGLRL-CRN procurement plan and ensure compliance to rail safety standards and requirements including contract negotiation and client liaison.Assist the logistics officer in managing Infrastructure Logistics Operations to deliver maintenance material requirements.Identify areas where substantial savings can be made through better use of inventories, (central store / plant store) utilisation vendor owned stock and the identification and actioning of materials no longer deemed to be required for future use.Monitor inventory levels within the central and plant store.Assist in the annual stocktaking program to meet UGLRL governance requirements.Recommend changes to stock holdings where stock has been identified as no longer in use, or where excessive stock coverage is being provided.Prepare purchase orders for the central and plant store as required to maintain inventory.Perform all duties in accordance with UGLRL policies, processes, systems, and procedures.Ability to cover leave.Able to travel when requested with overnight stays.Willing to undergo all required training.Other ad hoc duties as required.Qualifications Experience in Purchase Management.Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (e.g. logistics, engineering or accounting) or similar.Current Class HR Driving License.Current forklift license.RIW card.2 years' experience in a logistics / asset / supply chain management or similar in a commercial environment.About Us UGL is well-known and respected for providing end-to-end engineering, construction, and maintenance services within rail and transport, communications and technology systems, oil and gas, power, renewables and resources, water and defence markets.
