Offering doggy day care and overnight boarding for dogs and cats as well as other small animals that require our care.About the role – Working within a small, highly focused team this is a diverse and at times complex role that will suit a process driven, self-starter who has an exceptional attention to detail and ability to handle multiple and varied tasks simultaneously, in a fast-paced environment.Reporting directly to the Shift Supervisor, this person will be crucial in the delivery of Pets Country Club's key aims and objectives of providing the best pet care for our V.I.P.s. Applicants are expected to be available on weekends, school holidays and public holidays and be prepared for early morning starts.Main duties include ... Cleaning and sanitising suites, bowls and beds.Reporting any equipment failure.Feed, water, medicate, bathe, exercise, play and otherwise care for domestic animals such as dogs, cats and from time to time birds, small rodents or reptiles.Observe and/or examine the pets in our care and their behaviour and report any illness or unusual events, and if necessary take appropriate action.Maintain records of treatment, care and feeding of same animals.Monitor and supervise dogs in the Day Care area, and take appropriate action when required.Conduct reception duties; answer telephones, attend to clients, etc.Work towards leading the team of Pet Attendants.Work towards all other Supervisor responsibilities.To be successful in this position you must have - Ability to work 1 weekend in 3, as well as public holidays and peak periods.Previous paid experience within the pet industry (boarding or daycare is preferable).Outstanding customer service skills.The ability to work autonomously as well as within a team.Exceptional organisational skills.A superior attention to detail and observational skills.Ability to handle multiple and varied tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.A high degree of common sense and initiative.Excellent time-management skills.Strong leadership skills.The physical ability to work in an active outdoor environment.A strong empathy with animals.A sound knowledge of animal behaviour; having previous vet nursing or animal care experience or qualifications would be highly regarded.A huge passion for pets.Current driver's license.Why work for Pets Country Club?
