Create technical reports from site investigations Edit reports created by others within the company Manage workflow for each project throughout the company Request access from property owners for drilling and coordinate with stakeholders Manage inventory of well supplies Keep field notes and borehole logs according to state and company standards.
Liaison between State agency project managers and the company Schedule field work as projects are ready to move forward Research site geology and nearby site reports to ensure accurate information for work plans Determine locations for wells and soil borings Ensure reports are completed by deadlines Research information helpful for bids for projects Prepare field team for field work Calibrate the Photoionization Detector (PID) Ensure the team is properly equipped for the work (supplies, sample containers, work orders, project information, etc.)
Field Work:
Manage team efforts in the field.
Ensure all equipment is maintained according to manufacturer and company standards.
Ensure all client and company safety requirements are adhered to during field activities.
Be the point of contact between the company and the public as well as local, state, and federal government agencies.
Help with all field tasks to ensure they are completed on time and according to state and company standards.
Perform field tasks specifically required to be done by a Geologist: Record borings to state and company standards Take PID readings Complete supporting paperwork (sample forms, etc.)

Work with other team members to ensure work is done on time and according to state and company standards.
Help organize team to perform efficiently.
Ensure Chains of Custody are correct for samples going to the laboratory.
REQUIREMENTS:
Professional Geologist License in Kansas Valid driver's license.
Four (4) year degree in Geology Preferred: OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training.
