The CNC Machinist plays a crucial role in supporting the manufacturing operations of the Maintenance and Production Departments. Their main responsibility is to operate CNC machine tools with maximum efficiency, ensuring the accurate and quality production of parts and products for both internal and external customers.What will you be doing?Manufacture parts as requested to specified design drawings and interpret drawings into a working program.Ensure the work area and machines are kept clean, orderly and in good working condition.Notify the Manager of any issues that could be detrimental to the business or its staff.Undertake appropriate repairs or adjustments within your scope of skills, experience, and training.Perform the required tooling changes as required by the production plan within your scope of training and experience.Ensure that all equipment is utilised and maintained in the correct manner to maximise its efficiency and prolong its serviceable life.Promote and undertake inter-shift relations to ensure positive team unity is achieved.Ensure all your tools and implements are placed back into the designated location after use.Maintain and service the machines as manufacturer’s recommendations.Ensure all maintenance records and appropriate documentation is up to date by utilising MEX as a reporting tool.Effectively communicate with production and the maintenance team to ensure clear effective understanding.Contributing ideas and suggestions towards continuous improvement.What are we looking for in the successful candidate?Appropriate experience or qualifications relevant to the given role.Ability to ensure excellent attention to detail in a high-pressure environment.A team player with a positive nature and a can-do attitude.Excellent interpersonal skills.Drivers License.Ability to work unsupervised.Experience with Mazatrol Control/Mazak machinery preferable.Fusion 360 knowledge will be highly regarded.What’s in it for youFree parking onsite.Ongoing training and career opportunities internally & externally.Free lunch on Friday’s!Mental health and wellbeing support.How do you apply?Our culture is driven by our values.
