About the Position Are you passionate about mental health, creative expression, and peer support?
Join us as a Mental Health & Wellbeing Support Volunteer and help facilitate group activities, including art therapy, mindfulness, and Hearing Voices Network (HVN) peer support groups.
As a volunteer, you'll support individuals in their recovery journey through creative and social activities.
Your contributions may include: Assisting with art therapy and creative workshops Facilitating mindfulness, social, and wellbeing groups Supporting Hearing Voices Network (HVN) peer groups to create a safe space for people to share their experiences Providing companionship and emotional support Encouraging participation and connection in a safe space Marketing and Events Bouncing Back (Men's Mental Health Program) Why Volunteer with Us?
Make an Impact – Help individuals express themselves and build confidence Gain Valuable Experience – Learn about mental health and group facilitation Supportive Team – Work alongside experienced professionals Flexible Schedule – Volunteer at times that suit you About You To be considered for a volunteer role, you will need to have; Qualifications and Certificate Current National Police Clearance Certificate (no older than six months) A valid First Aid and CPR Certificate (HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid, HLTAID010 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support, HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) A current working with Children Check A current NDIS Worker Screening Check Skills and Experience A passion for mental health, creativity, and group facilitation Strong communication and empathy skills Reliability and teamwork Desirable Lived experience of mental health recovery or as family members of people with a lived experience of recovery is desirable Attitude Positive attitude towards people experiencing mental distress.
The ability to live RW values in all workplace tasks and interactions.
Pro-active individual who is enthusiastic and committed to upholding RW values and principles Volunteers' positions are between Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm.
