The role
The Procurement Officer- SQAP is a member of the Procurement Team and is the dedicated procurement support to the Supplier Quality Assurance Program as well as assisting other projects, programs and corporate functions, when needed. The role is split 50/50 with regards to duties between Procurement and SQA.
Further, the successful candidate will:
1. Assess and approves suppliers together with the SQA Manager
2. Supports with maintenance and improvements of the Approved Supplier List and the associated schema for categorising suppliers
3. Works with internal customers to ensure that acceptance criteria for products and services are adequately defined
4. Supports the SQA Manager with the development and maintenance of SQA processes, methods and work instructions
5. Implement and manage procurement processes in relation to project and company procurement needs, including but not limited to undertaking market surveys, obtaining quotes and the negotiation, implementation and management of project and corporate orders, contracts and agreements
6. Supports the SQA Manager during Supplier audits when needed (from a procurement standpoint)
Flexible work arrangements such as hybrid work from home / office and 9 day fortnight will be considered for this role.
About you
Your skills and experience will include:
7. Assess, Evaluate, Onboard and Manage Saab’s Approved Supplier List
8. Develop tender documents and assist in tender evaluation to achieve ‘best value for money’ propositions for Saab and its customers
9. Demonstrated knowledge of the ‘end to end’ procurement process and experience implementing and managing contracts and purchase orders
10. Proven commercial and quality acumen with the ability to recognize and mitigate risks
11. An understanding of Australian Defence Security and Export control requirements
12. Understanding of certification requirements for ISO standard Management Systems
As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants will be required to hold an Australian Defence Security Clearance to baseline level or have the ability to gain one.
