Are you an organised and tech-savvy individual with a passion for customer service? Eye See Eyes is looking for a friendly and reliable Optical Assistant to join our team two days per week, with the flexibility to cover additional hours during sick/annual leave. As you gain confidence in the role, there’s also an opportunity to take on Saturday shifts (9 AM – 2 PM).
About the Role:
As an Optical Assistant, you’ll be the first point of contact for our patients, ensuring a welcoming and professional experience. Your role will involve:
* Managing reception duties – greeting patients, handling phone inquiries, and booking appointments.
* Processing payments and assisting with health fund claims.
* Handling administrative tasks, including data entry and maintaining patient records.
* Learning and using Optomate Touch, our practice management system.
* Providing general support to the team and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
What We’re Looking For:
A friendly, professional, and engaging personality – someone who makes patients feel welcome.
Excellent communication skills – clear, confident, and customer-focused.
Strong computer skills – ability to learn new systems quickly.
Attention to detail – accurate data entry and record-keeping.
Organised and proactive approach to reception and admin duties.
Optical experience preferred, however training is provided.
