Job Title: Medical Secretary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Secretary to provide administrative support to our clinicians and teams. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of medical terminology, and experience working in a healthcare setting.
Main Duties:
• Act as the primary point of contact for patients and medical staff, ensuring that all queries are answered promptly and within agreed quality standards.
• Source and track casenotes, ensuring timely retrieval and processing.
• Bring urgent test results and correspondence to the immediate attention of the Consultant or their team.
• Validate clinic outcome forms and ensure accurate completion.
• Work closely with wards and departments to escalate any urgent problems and provide secretarial support during colleague absences.

Requirements:
• Advanced keyboard skills and accuracy.
• Good standard of English and NVQ III in Business Administration or equivalent knowledge and skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Understanding of medical terminology and previous hospital experience.
