Tasmania is part of a nationwide program of work that delivers innovations in the treatment of eating disorders. The Tasmanian Eating Disorder Service (TEDS) offers integrated specialist care for adults with an eating disorder.
Duties:
* Ensure delivery of comprehensive clinical service through relevant assessment, recovery-focused case management and other recovery or trauma-informed services.
* Provide evidence-based assessment and treatment interventions for clients with major and complex mental health problems.
* Actively participate as a member of a multidisciplinary team, providing support and consultation to other team members as required.
* Prepare specialised reports as needed.
* Consult and liaise with providers of mental health services, including GPs, other agencies, and families and carers.
* Participate in quality and safety processes, including incident reporting, evaluation, research, internal audits, and policy review.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
The Allied Health Professional works under broad administrative and clinical direction from the relevant Clinical Lead and/or TEDS Manager.
* Develop awareness of policies, procedures, and legislation affecting job duties, including consumer rights and responsibilities.
* Champion a child-safe culture upholding the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations.
* Exercise delegations in accordance with various Acts, Regulations, Awards, and administrative authorities.
* Comply with policy and protocol requirements, including mandatory education, training, and assessment.
This position features participation in the TEDS Community-Based Intensive Treatment and Residential Recovery Program.
You will need:
* Demonstrated post-graduate clinical practice experience, skills working in various areas, sound knowledge of contemporary evidence-based practice, and ability to manage complex presentations.
* Experience in liaison and consultation with other services and agencies to optimise effective and efficient service provision.
* Ability to develop and participate in ongoing quality assurance activities, clinical practice evaluation, performance, and research.

Details of appointment:
This is a permanent, full-time, day-worker position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight.
Salary: $110,425 to $126,703 per annum.
