The Town of Port Hedland is a thriving community located 1,765 kilometres north of Perth in the Pilbara region, with a population of approximately 17,000 people.

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Executive to fill the role of Chief Executive Officer on a 5-year contract.
Main Responsibilities:
* Lead and Foster a Culture of High Performance: Develop a culture of innovation, transparency, and engagement throughout the organisation, aligned with our values of Unity, Quality, and Integrity.
* Oversight of Service Delivery: Provide general oversight of the delivery of services and operations of the Council.
* Visionary Leadership: Articulate a clear vision and sense of purpose aligned to the Council's Strategic Plan.
* Community Engagement: Engage with the community and stakeholders to build strong relationships and partnerships.
* Project Execution: Provide leadership in the execution and delivery of major projects.
* Asset Management: Oversee the asset and infrastructure management plan to ensure effective use of resources.
* Financial Sustainability: Ensure financial performance and sustainability of the Council.
* Governance: Comply with governance and legislated requirements of the Council.
* Economic Development: Maintain the Economic Development and Tourism strategy.
* Workplace Safety: Ensure a safe workplace environment for employees.
