Talent International is partnering exclusively with Western Sydney University to uplift their Cyber Security capability and is managing the recruitment process for a variety of cyber security roles in their Cyber Security Assurance and Operations (CSAO) team, with a mission to provide cyber security advice, risk management, and incident response for the University.
To support and enable evidence-based and intelligence-informed decision-making, CSAO is building a team of deep subject matter experts who are mission-focused and determined to enable business outcomes while maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the University's ICT systems.
As part of this, there is a permanent requirement for two Cyber Security Analysts to join the team who will be accountable for performing and achieving complex information security work.
The Cyber Security Risk Analysts will act as the first point of contact for security advice on technologies present in ICT systems. This position will require a high level of customer service and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve ICT-related matters.
The Cyber Security Risk Analysts will also research and analyze specific issues relating to the security of ICT systems, reviewing documentation and providing reporting as required.
Key Duties Provide expertise in the identification and resolution of ICT security matters. Data analysis and research into issues relating to the security of ICT systems, including complex reporting. Contribute to the development and improvement of processes, procedures, guidelines, standards, and architectures in relation to ICT security. Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels and security authorities on ICT surety-related matters. Knowledge of NIST and MITRE frameworks, Essential Eight, Information Security Manual, and ISO27001. Knowledge of the ASIO protective security guidelines, Defence Industry Security Program, and Defence Security Principles Framework would be an advantage. Interpret and apply the above frameworks, legislation, policy, and procedures in ICT security matters. In order to be considered, we are seeking skilled Cyber Security Analysts who can demonstrate the following:
Tertiary qualification and extensive experience in Cyber Security or a relevant appropriate discipline. Extensive knowledge of the Australian Government Information Security Manual and the Protective Security Policy Framework, with demonstrated ability to interpret and apply the above frameworks, legislation, policy, and procedures. Experience applying high-level analytical skills to implement solutions that meet the evolving needs of the cyber security environment. Demonstrated ability to utilize well-developed negotiation and communication skills, including the ability to influence and build relationships with senior executives. Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate cyber security concepts to a broad range of stakeholders, both in writing and verbally. Ability to work under limited direction, with the proven ability to manage competing priorities to a high standard of accuracy, within allocated timeframes.
