Job Title: Occupational Health Nurse Advisor
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Health Nurse Advisor to join our team at the P&G London Plant in West Thurrock. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage in meaningful work that will touch the lives of others and have a real impact.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ownership of the OH Department: Health Surveillance Leadership through comprehensive assessments, including audiometry, skin testing, lung functions, and MHE safety medicals.
* Monitoring and recording to identify trends and areas for improvement.
* Sickness Absence Case Load: advising management on employees' health and fitness for work.
* Recommending adjustments for safe working environments as well as creating comprehensive OH reports and phased return to work plans.
* Regularly review site absence data with HR, look at trends, and agree required interventions.
* OH Clinics : supported by an external Occupational Health Physician for complex cases, you will oversee the physician clinics to ensure they're effective and drive case resolution.
* First Aid Responsibilities: work with the safety team and first aiders to ensure appropriate responses to incidents on time, arrange external training for first aiders, and ensure on-site supplies and equipment are maintained.
* Compliance with P&G Health System Key Elements: Ensure the site meets all requirements set forth by the P&G Health System Key Elements, implementing necessary changes to maintain compliance.
* Prepare documentation and reports for audits, for site self-assessments ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.
* Health Promotion and Education: work on site to develop health promotion initiatives, training, and workshops to drive improved health and wellbeing.
* Carry out ergonomic workstation assessments to promote a safe working environment.
* Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate and confidential health records for all employees in accordance with data protection regulations and using our data management system.
Requirements:
* Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration.
* Relevant occupational health qualifications (e.g., OH degree or certificate).
* Experience in occupational health nursing, particularly in health surveillance and assessment.
* Excellent case management skills.
* Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a team environment.
