The Role We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Procurement and Contracting Advisor to join our Governance team on a permanent full-time basis.
This role involves providing specialist advice to support business units in conducting efficient and compliant procurement activities. Reporting to the Manager of Governance, you will lead a small team to deliver a high-quality and compliant procurement function for the Town.
Key Responsibilities :
Leadership : Provide effective leadership, coaching, mentoring, and supervision to the procurement team. Stakeholder Management : Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Risk Management : Identify, report, and manage procurement risks, assisting the Town in mitigating these risks to achieve effective outcomes. Continuous Improvement : Foster a culture of continuous improvement and support the development and implementation of new processes and systems to enhance effective and compliant procurement practices. Compliance : Ensure all procurement processes, decisions, and arrangements are documented for audit purposes and comply with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures. Work Related Requirements The preferred applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment to be considered for the role, as well as possess: Tertiary qualification in Government (Procurement and Contracting), Procurement and/or Supply, Contract Management, Commerce or similar (Diploma or higher). Extensive experience in government tendering and procurement practices.
