The Jack Link’s Protein Snacks portfolio of brands includes, Jack Link’s, Lorissa’s Kitchen, BiFi, Peperami, Wild River, Golden Island and Country Fresh Meats.Job DescriptionThe duties and responsibilities of this position shall consist of, but not be limited to, the following:Supports a Secondary Manufacturing Department and prepares and analyses cost reports and monthly closing documents.Includes Material Use Variances (MUV) analysis and labor performance tracking.Includes COGS analysis of the various manufacturing departments.Supports new item setup and costing of bill of materials (BOM’s) for the Secondary Manufacturing, Cold Crafted, and Tempering manufacturing departments.Assist with month end close and reporting.Prepare and provide financial support throughout the period and close by working on period journal entries for Sale, COGS, SG&A, etc.Provide oversight and maintain relationships with Finance, Budget & Forecasting Teams, and other support departments.Research and analyze period financial activity ensuring proper BOM set up, scrap percentages, inventory, and MUV’s.Supports Company’s audits to ensure legal compliance and inventory control.Assist in developing cost accounting procedures and SOP’s.Assist in transitioning from existing cost accounting system to modern platforms (SAP HANA).Performs other duties and responsibilities, as necessary.QualificationsREQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCERequired Education:Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.Required Experience:2+ years of previous work in Finance, preferably with an emphasis in manufacturing and/or distribution environment.Preferred Experience:SAP/SAP HANA.Power BI tools and Analytics.REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIESExcellent verbal and written communication skills; must work effectively with all levels of management and employees.Must demonstrate effective leadership, problem solving, presentation, and employee motivational skills.Proficient in Internet navigation, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and Outlook.Ability to calculate using fractions, decimals, and percentages, count, record, and analyze reports.Additional InformationWORK ENVIRONMENTThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a Team Member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The work environment is a distribution center/office setting with varying degrees of temperatures and noise levels. Exposure to manufacturing and distribution center equipment movement. However, the vast amount of work is conducted in a climate-controlled office.
