Job DescriptionDirector, Planning and Infrastructure Economics, SydneyIdeating and planning for our cities and their infrastructure needs is complex, as is understanding how they will grow and which projects will enhance community wellbeing and prosperity now, and into the future.The challenge lies in the need to balance a 'predict and provide' approach that addresses immediate infrastructure demands with strategic infrastructure, which has the potential to shape the future and alter demand patterns.Our Planning & Infrastructure Economics team help plan for our cities now and into the future by developing and prioritising projects which generate sustainable community benefits.Your Opportunity - Director (Sydney) The Director opportunity within our Planning and Infrastructure Economics group is a new leadership role in our Sydney practice to support the success of our people and clients.Directors are industry specialists who can support client growth, are passionate for building a thriving team culture and are known in the industry for their expertise and ability to deliver work opportunities. Our team are specialists in supporting our clients' needs with strategic advice in the planning and prioritisation of transport, social and energy infrastructure projects.As Director you will collaborate with our national team and drive local opportunities in the NSW market by:
1. Developing policies, strategies, feasibility studies and business cases for transport, social and energy sector investments.
2. Being client facing, solving client problems, delivering proposals, and managing the delivery of projects.
3. Introducing new and maintaining existing local client relationships and building presence in the market at industry events.
4. Providing subject matter expertise internally (locally and globally) and externally in the transport, social and energy markets.
5. Building a cohesive and delivery focused team, with growth and learning as a key focus for your team.
6. Supporting or unlocking our exposure to new or different clients' sectors and works (we love ideas for where we can grow).

7. You are considered a specialist in transport, social or energy infrastructure across advisory, economics or strategic planning.
8. Facilitating better community outcomes through enhanced infrastructure planning is a passion and expertise.
9. You are an active a thought leader (or the desire to be) in a range of strategic, technical, and business issues impacting our clients and markets.

10. Leadership experiences in similar consulting, advisory or inhouse roles across transport, social and energy infrastructure projects, locally or globally.

12. Strong numerical, analytical, and strategic thinking skills and demonstrated experience in the economic, financial assessment, investment decisions and strategic planning of infrastructure projects.
13. The ability to build and maintain client relationships and develop a presence at industry networking events.
